Option 2: Measure the diameter of your finger with a caliper

When you don’t have a ring that fits well then you can still use this method to measure your ring size. Instead you need to use your caliper to measure the diameter of your finger.

Things you need: finger & caliper

  1. Place the jaws of the caliper around the finger on which you want to wear your ring.

Method 3: Use string or floss

The third method to determine your ring size is by measuring the circumference of your finger. The method is particularly useful when you don't have a ring that fits your finger properly yet, as the only thing you need is some string, floss or measuring tape.

Things you need: String, floss or measuring tape & finger

  1. Wrap the string or floss around the base of the finger on which you want to wear your ring.
  2. Mark where the string or floss overlaps with a pen/marker.
  3. Stretch the length of the string or floss a ruler or measuring tape and read the length in millimetres
  4. Check the ring size chart to see which ring size corresponds to those measurements.
  5. Shop your new ring at My Jewellery!

Don't have some string or floss on hands? Grab a piece of measuring tape and wrap it around your finger, read off the millimetres where the measuring tape comes together around your finger and then read your size off from the ring size chart. Et voila, you've got your perfect ring size!
