Meet the team | Product Content

In this meet the team, the Product Content team will gladly introduce themselves. The My Jewellery Product Content team is responsible for making sure that all the products on the website, from jewellery to clothes, are correctly uploaded to the website. The team is working closely with the Content team and the Product Photographers.

Position: Product Content Administrator

How long have you been working at My Jewellery??
Since August 2020. Fun fact, before starting in the Product Content team, I had been working in the Boutique in Breda for almost 3 years as a part-time job alongside my studies!

Can you tell us more about your position??
Within the team, it is my responsibility to perform the final check of the products when they become available on the website. Apart from that, I’m also responsible for the entire jewellery category to make sure that it looks perfect, but I also add products to campaign pages or new collections. Additionally, I collaborate with all the other departments so that the products can be shown in the best possible way for the best results.

What does a day at My Jewellery look like for you?
Every day is different! I start my day off by checking the website, ensuring that it looks beautiful and that the relevant products are the first thing you see on the pages. After that, I update pages, like our bestseller category, with new data. During the day, messages from Customer Service with questions about certain products will pop up, and I’ll handle those immediately. At the end of the day, I check which photos were uploaded to the system by the Product Photography team, and I’ll complete those items by assigning stocks and publishing them online. After publishing new items, I will merchandise the category to make the categories look perfect again!

What do you enjoy most about working in the Content team?
The thing that I like the most is the fact that no day will be the same as the day before. Even when I make a plan, I’ll come into the office in the morning and have a completely different day. Apart from that, I also love to work creatively, for example, coming up with new campaigns for the products.

What makes you proud to work at My Jewellery?
I have experienced the enormous growth of My Jewellery. From the very start through working in one of the first boutiques, to a Content team with only three colleagues, and later, to an even more expanded Content team.

Position: Product Content Administrator

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
I started working at My Jewellery as an intern in February 2020. I’ve enjoyed it so much that I kept on working full-time until school started again. Now I’ve been working here since May 2021, part-time alongside my studies.

Can you tell us more about your position?
As a Product Content Administrator, I add new products and ensure that the pages look tip-top! Next to this, I’m also working on link building, which entails that I look for new potential bloggers that My Jewellery could collaborate with.

What does a day at My Jewellery look like for you?
In the morning I’ll start responding to emails and messages from bloggers. When I’m finished, I’ll start adding products. I check which products should be finalised during that week, and I’ll start working on those. This starts with searching for the sample and after that, it’s time to measure. Add all the information to the product and I'm done!

What do you enjoy most about working in the Content team?
Not a day is the same, and there’s a really good atmosphere as well. You’ll learn new things every day and it’s a fast-growing company, which results in us, as employees, growing along with My Jewellery as well. Apart from the great atmosphere, we also get complimented for our work, which is really nice!

What makes you proud to work for My Jewellery?
Whenever I talk about My Jewellery, I’ll immediately start smiling. I find it super impressive to see how much My Jewellery has grown, and I’m happy to be a part of the team. Next to the growth of the company, the atmosphere within the company is also really nice. You are welcomed into a warm nest in which you immediately feel at home, and I think this is the most beautiful characteristic a company could have.

Position: Product Content Administrator

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
Since May 2021, which makes it 8 months.

Can you tell us more about your position?
Together with my colleagues, I add all the products to the website. We’ll write creative texts for the products, but also ensure that the correct product information is showing. Additionally, we ensure that the website looks tip-top. I also take all the sold-out products off the website, and I’m responsible for the products on the B2B website.

What does a day at My Jewellery look like for you?
Actually, not a day is the same. I start at 8.00 because at this time it’s still very quiet in the office. Next, I’ll start my day by disabling all the sold-out products. I then look at my planning for that day and check which products can be entered into the system. My planning will never go as I would have imagined for that day due to requests from other colleagues, but that is fine because it will never get dull. I often collaborate with the product photographers and the purchasing team, so I frequently visit these departments. We also have regular meetings, and the atmosphere with the other colleagues is great!

What do you enjoy most about working in the content team?
The Content team is responsible for many different tasks, which is why everyone has their own speciality. Due to this, we also learn a lot from each other and we often work together. This creates a real team spirit and above all, I do have a lot of nice colleagues!

What makes you proud to work at My Jewellery?
My Jewellery is growing very fast. It’s really nice to experience this from up close. When you start working here, you’ll immediately get in a flow. The sky is the limit and this totally applies to My Jewellery. There are so many new ideas on the table, which make you, as an employee, also very exciting. Moreover, even though it’s a very big company, everything still feels very personal, which makes you feel important and valued.

Colleague Karlijn Kuijpers
Position: Product Content Administrator

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
5 years. I used to work in the returns department but a little over 8 months ago, I transferred to the Product Content team.

Can you tell us a bit more about your position?
I continuously check the products that are available online and create new collections. Think of adding the data, finalising categories, and maintaining the look of the products and categories on the website.

What does a day at My Jewellery look like for you?
After kicking it off with a cup of coffee, I start my day by posting items that are restocked or items with fixed issues. I start with the priorities, which include questions or adjustments for certain products. I also add new items to the system and check the product information by looking at the sample. The clothing category is my responsibility, so at the end of the day I check if the category still looks neat. We don’t want to have too many similar products next to each other, and all the product information has to be correct.

What do you enjoy the most about working in the content team?
It's creative work with new products that no one has seen before.

What makes you proud to work at My Jewellery?
Apart from the fact that I’ve been working at the company for 5 years and experiencing all the developments from up close, My Jewellery remains a fast-growing company. There’s a lot of hard work put into creating on-trend content, which is also how you stay relevant.
