Every day, we create pieces that spark joy, from jewellery to clothing and accessories. We also know that everything we make has an impact on the world around us. That is why we are committed to taking responsibility for our environmental footprint and working continuously to reduce it.
Climate Impact
We are becoming increasingly critical of the impact our business has on the planet, from our boutiques to our supply chain.
To better understand this impact, we work together with Carbonfact. Together, we map the entire journey of our products, from the raw materials we choose to how each piece is made and transported.
This provides us with detailed product-level insights and helps us identify where emissions occur throughout our value chain. For example, we can compare the carbon footprint of different materials, understand the impact of production methods or see how transport choices affect our overall emissions.
In addition, we calculate our company-wide carbon footprint. This includes all emissions generated by our business, from energy use in our boutiques and office to business travel and procurement activities. We use these insights to make informed decisions about our materials, operations and packaging. One important step we have taken is switching to green electricity. We have an agreement in place until 2028 to supply all of our boutiques in the Netherlands, our warehouse and our head office with green electricity.
This is how we continue to reduce our impact, one step at a time.
Raw materials
We make jewellery, clothing and accessories, and each product type calls for different materials. For our clothing, we increasingly opt for certified and recycled materials, such as organic cotton (GOTS/OCS), recycled polyester (RCS/GRS) and more sustainable alternatives to viscose. For our jewellery, we focus on quality and longevity. We choose premium stainless steel, a material that is 100% recyclable and built to last.
Because the longer you wear something, the less often you'll need to replace it. And that might just be the most sustainable choice of all. You can learn more about our materials on our conscious materials information page
Operations & logistics
We continuously work on improving our logistics processes. Together with our logistics partners and suppliers, we are constantly exploring smarter ways to transport our products. For example, we consolidate shipments at the source to reduce the number of transport movements. For permanent items in our collection, we are also exploring opportunities to transport more goods by sea or road, which results in significantly lower emissions than air freight.
Logistics doesn’t stop at transportation; returns also have an impact. A good and consistent fit helps customers choose the right size more confidently. That’s why we focus on clear sizing through our size guide and a consistent fit across our campaigns. This helps reduce incorrect purchases, improves customer satisfaction and makes the ordering process easier and more reliable. At the same time, it contributes to fewer unnecessary returns, which is not only more efficient for our organisation but also has a positive impact on the environment by reducing transport and waste.
Packaging
We also make conscious choices when it comes to our packaging. All packaging for our jewellery is FSC Mix-certified, meaning the paper comes from responsibly managed forests and recycled sources. For our clothing, we are exploring ways to further reduce plastic use. We are currently testing the switch to paper polybags as an alternative to plastic.
At My Warehouse, the packing of orders is supported by a packaging machine. Instead of using fixed-size boxes for every order, the machine creates a custom-sized shipping box and seals it automatically, tailored to the contents. This is especially beneficial for our jewellery, as the items are often small and attached to a card in smooth packaging. We therefore deliberately use a system that allows us to pick items directly into the final shipping box, helping to minimise unnecessary handling and reduce waste.
Circularity
We believe every item deserves a second chance to shine. That's why we launched RE-CELEBRATE, our circularity initiative focused on giving valuable materials a new life through reuse, recycling and upcycling.
Together with our partners, we collect clothing and jewellery to keep beautiful materials in circulation for as long as possible and give them a new purpose.
Our upcycled items
For our upcycled items, we give selected pieces from previous collections a new life. Using leftover materials, returned items and damaged pieces, we transform existing materials into new designs that can be loved, worn and re-worn all over again.
Every item is unique and thoughtfully redesigned with the future in mind. Below, you'll discover a selection of our upcycling projects.

Our Take-Back Program
Circularity is something we build together with our customers and our partners.
ReShare
Since 2011, customers in the Netherlands have been able to hand in unwanted clothing at our boutiques through our partnership with Salvation Army ReShare. All collected clothing is sent to one of ReShare’s sorting centres in the Netherlands, where it is sorted by type and quality. It is then given a new destination through four different streams: donated as emergency aid, sold at affordable prices in ReShare stores, resold to sorting partners or, if it is no longer wearable, recycled through innovative recycling partners.
Every kilogram of clothing given a second life saves approximately 7,000 litres of water and 3.4 kg of CO₂.
In Belgium, we partner with Be the Fibre, an initiative by We Make Hope, which supports communities around the world through clothing collection and reuse.
Zaffier
In 2023, we began accepting old or damaged My Jewellery jewellery in our boutiques. Each store features dedicated collection boxes where customers can leave behind pieces that are old, broken or no longer worn. Jewellery, too, deserves a second chance.
Collected pieces are sent to Zaffier, our partner in circular jewellery. Zaffier carefully sorts all returned items and assesses what is possible for each piece. Broken clasps are repaired, mismatched earrings are reunited, and chains without a pendant are fitted with a new charm, giving our jewellery a new life. What we find particularly meaningful is that Zaffier's employees face barriers to the labour market. Every item returned therefore creates not only an environmental but also a social impact.
10,466 RE-CELEBRATE jewellery pieces were given a second life in 2025 through our partnership with Zaffier.
