General

My Jewellery ("My Jewellery", "My-Jewellery.com", "we", "our") respects the privacy rights of its online visitors/customers ("you", "your") and recognises the importance of protecting the data collected on them. The following information has been provided by My Jewellery to reassure our visitors and to enable them to be fully informed about these guidelines. By visiting My-Jewellery.com you accept the guidelines and practices as laid down in this Privacy and Cookie Policy and our General Terms and Conditions.

My Jewellery may use your personal data to process your orders, to process your payments, to administer your account, and to offer its visitors a personalised shopping experience. The latter only applies if the customer has given their consent.

This Privacy and Cookie Policy does not apply to websites administered by other organisations which we provide links to and we cannot be held responsible for any personal data which is sent to these third parties by you via My Jewellery. Always make sure that you read these companies’ privacy policies before sharing your personal data with them.

My Jewellery collects personal data in various ways when you place an order or register for services offered by My Jewellery. By registering, you accept that My Jewellery will collect your personal data. In order to process your order, check for fraud and fulfil your order, we need to collect and store the following data for each order placed: your name; email, home, shipping and billing addresses; phone number.

What do we do with your data?

It is important to know that we handle your data with the utmost care. This data is stored in a secure manner and is not accessible to unauthorised persons. Your data will only be used internally by My Jewellery unless it is necessary for us to pass this data on to another party. If that should be the case, we make sure that they handle it with as much care as we do. We use your data for various purposes, such as processing your order and providing you with tailored offers to suit your needs.

We have no intention of collecting data from visitors to our website who are 16 years of age or younger, unless they have permission from their parents or legal guardian. We cannot check a person’s age, so we encourage parents’ involvement in their children's online activities. Should there be any ambiguities or questions about this, then please contact us at [email protected].

The personal data that you provide may be shared with fraud detection agencies and credit reference agencies. Where we are legally obliged to do so, we will also provide this information to any relevant legal authority. Shipping information such as your address, email address and telephone number may be shared with courier services. This data is shared to provide you with the best service and will not be passed on by our couriers to third parties for any other purpose.

Credit card and bank details are never shared with third parties and will only be used to process your order. Credit card details are encrypted and are not visible to My Jewellery employees.

We also collect information on website traffic, wish lists and other commercial data which we use to identify consumer patterns and which we then use for internal research, marketing purposes and to tailor our website to further improve our ability to meet our customers' needs. However, this information is only collected if consent is given via the cookie banner when entering the website. You will find more information on cookies further down this page.

Protecting your personal data

My Jewellery does everything in its power to guarantee the safety, integrity and privacy of the data that you provide us with. When you place an order or access your account data, we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect this data from unauthorised use. We also do everything within our power to ensure that the parties with whom we work and share your data apply these same standards.

Access to and changing personal data

If, for any reason, you are concerned that the personal data My Jewellery has collected from you is incorrect, please log in to our website to review and change your personal data.

You alone have access to this personal data with your username and password.

Subscriptions

We maintain a subscribe policy when it comes to email communication. When you register for the newsletter, you will occasionally receive emails via My-Jewellery.com. After the registration, it is always possible to opt-out of the registration in our email database.  The purpose of the registration is to collect data that makes it possible for you to receive up-to-date information and product offers from us.

By subscribing to our newsletter, you are granting permission to receive email communications from us. However, each time we contact you after that by email, you will be given the option of unsubscribing from this service by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email. You can also unsubscribe yourself by sending an email to [email protected].

Subscribers to our newsletter receive email notifications regarding new products, special offers, events and discounts. These notifications may contain marketing information from subsidiaries of My Jewellery or from selected partners.

We never sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Customer service

You can contact us by email, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and chat. We are also available by telephone. To be able to provide you with fast support, we look up your data in our system, so that we can answer your question or find a solution as quickly as possible. We also analyse these contact moments so that we can improve our service and offer you even better assistance next time.

Newsletters

To stay up-to-date on the latest collections and best promotions, you can sign up to receive our newsletters. You can subscribe to the general newsletter or boutique-related newsletters so that you can also stay informed about events at a local level. We ask you about your interests so that we can send you newsletters that meet your wishes and needs. We also ask for your date of birth, so that you can receive a nice birthday present. We send out the newsletter twice a week, excluding (discount) promotions. If you do not want to receive any newsletters, then it’s very easy to unsubscribe via the following page

Promotions & competitions

Would you like to participate in a promotion or a competition? Just leave your name and email address so that we can run the promotion and possibly name you as the winner of a competition! Your data will only be used for that specific promotion unless it states otherwise.

Social media

If you would like to get in touch with us through social media, we will not store your data.

Business customers and partners

We also store our business contacts’ data, which we handle with as much care as we do the data from our other customers. If we carry out an order for you, we will, for example, use the personal data for a quotation, invoice, or to make appointments.

Fraud

We hope never to encounter fraud, but if necessary, we will use customer data to prevent and counteract it. We will pass on data to government agencies, if we are required to do so.

Payments

If you have had a successful spree on our web shop and want to pay for your order, you will enter a secure payment environment to finalise your purchase. If you are paying with iDeal, your details will be stored in our records so that it is easy for us to process any returns. Would you rather pay by credit card? You will then be redirected from our secure payment environment to an external payment environment.

If there are any unpaid invoices, we will forward your data to a collection agency and/or bailiff who will further handle the case.

Personal advice

If you visit our shop or follow us on social media, we would like to keep track of what you like. We are happy to give you personal advice through advertisements on Facebook, for example. We do this by using cookies. You will find more information on cookies further down this page.

Reviews

We like you! We are always over the moon to get reviews and would love to hear whether you are satisfied with your purchase. When you leave us a review, you can choose whether you want to leave us your personal data and if you would like us to contact you.

Would you like to know what data we have on you, or would you like to change or delete something? Then log in to your My Jewellery account or contact customer service.
