Zaffier processes the collected jewellery in a sustainable manner. They sort the jewellery and try to recycle as much of it as possible. This may involve melting the metal to make new jewellery or using the material for other purposes. They may also perform repairs on the jewellery to make them usable again. Zaffier is committed to a circular approach, aiming to minimise waste and maximise the value of the collected materials.
*The jewellery that has been given a second life is currently available at the My Jewellery outlets in Roermond, Roosendaal and Batavia Stad.
Every year we drop several jewellery collections all made from premium stainless steel. This means they don't tarnish easily and are also easily recyclable. Unfortunately, this is rarely done in the jewellery industry which is why we have decided to start collecting second-hand and defective jewellery in collaboration with Zaffier.
By working together, we achieve two important goals: we give jewellery a second life and we make a social impact. The employees involved from Zaffier have a distance to the labour market. We believe it's important to take responsibility for a more sustainable future, but also to show our customers what we as a company are doing. This is to motivate the customer to take these steps with us because we believe circularity is the only way forward in this regard! By upcycling more jewellery, we contribute to a better world!
You can find the jewelry collection boxes in all of our boutiques! These can be found at the checkout. If you want to drop something off, please notify one of our colleagues in the boutique first so they can assist you further.
When it comes to a jewellery set it's helpful if the items are kept together or attached to each other; other loose items can be placed separately in the box.
It's only possible to donate your My Jewellery jewellery at our boutiques.
You must donate a minimum of three jewellery sets or individual items. In the case of earrings this counts as one set, and a ring for example counts as one item. However, the more the better!
You’re entitled to 1 voucher per person, per day.
You can leave your details via a QR code, which will be shared with you by one of the boutique colleagues after the jewellery has been donated. Then, you will receive an email containing the discount code. You can choose to immediately use the discount at the boutique or you can leave your email address and you’ll receive a unique code in your inbox which can be used for your next online order.
An online discount code is valid for three months after issue.

What you're not allowed to donate:
It's important that the jewellery, or part of it, can still be recycled. Therefore, it's not possible to submit a bracelet that’s broken by putting the loose stones or beads in the box.
Clothing donation is also possible at some of our boutiques! For this, we’ve collaborated with Reshare and Be The Fibre. Clothing donation is possible in boutiques located in the Netherlands & Belgium.
