How to replace your watch battery
How do I know if my watch battery is running low?
Unsure whether your watch battery is running on empty? Well, there's a few tell-tale signs to determine if your battery is running low. Often times you might notice the time on your watch isn't accurate, or it's running behind. Alternatively, you might notice the second hand isn't working properly anymore, and it might be skipping a few seconds at a time. Is your watch displaying any of these symptoms, then chances are your battery needs replacing.
Changing your watch battery by yourself
- Check whether the watch back is screwed or pressed on, and then remove it. Has it been pressed on? There should be a groove in the back which you can use to open it. If the watch back has been screwed on you should be able to loosen it with a rubber ball.
- Now you should be able to take the battery out and replace it with a new one. If the plastic covering is in the way, pull the crown back and remove the plastic while keeping your finger on the clock work. Be careful to replace the battery with one of the same type. It should tell you on the top of the battery what type it is.
- Finally, place the plastic covering back in the same place, press the crown back into place, check that everything is in the right place and then put the backing back onto the watch.
