How to measure your bracelet size

Step #1: Determine how you want to wear your bracelet

At My Jewellery we have tonnes of bracelets in various sizes. Luckily, it’s pretty easy to determine which My Jewellery bracelet will fit your wrist, simply by measuring the width of your wrist. That way you can order your bracelets online without doubting they’ll fit!

Bracelet fit can be a very individual thing. Some people like their bracelets loose while others prefer it to sit tighter on the wrist. Your work environment can actually be a determining factor in the way you wear your wrist, if you type a lot you most likely wear your bracelets quite tight so they don’t move too much. If you’re going to a funkier arm party look, your best bet is to wear a number of looser bracelets. So first thing’s first, figure out how you want to wear your bracelet!

Step #2: Measure your wrist size

The best way to measure your wrist circumference is to use a moldable measuring tape, that way you can wind it around your wrist as tightly as you want. Tie it around your wrist and make sure both ends connect without being too tight. Check the point at which it connects, and there you have your wrist size!

Don’t have a measuring tape? No worries! There’s another way to measure your wrist and find your wrist size and all you need is a ruler and a piece of string. Wind the string around your wrist, and cut it off where the ends meet. Put the piece of string along the ruler, and from there you can read your measurements.

P.S: If you’ve got a bracelet that fits perfectly? Great! Open up the bracelet and place it along your ruler, and you’ve got your wrist size right there!

Step #3: The desired fit

After figuring out your measurements, you can move onto the next step. But beware! Your wrist size isn’t the same as your bracelet size. To determine your bracelet size you simply need to add a few centimetres to your wrist size. Your bracelet size is determined by the desired fit.

Tight fit bracelet = wrist size + 1.5 cm
Regular fit bracelet = wrist size + 2 cm
Loose fit bracelet = wrist size + 3 cm

Step #4: Your favourite bracelet

Now that you’ve figured out the perfect bracelet size, it’s time to start looking for the perfect bracelet! Always check whether your favourite bracelet fits with your bracelet size. Sometimes the bracelet can be altered, which means your bracelet size will always be an option. Are you a fan of silver bracelets or gold bracelets? Do you love charm braceletsbanglesminimal braceletschain bracelets or beaded bracelets? You name it, we’ve got it!
