Secret # 1 : Take our style finder test

Step one to figuring out your signature style? Have some fun and take our style quiz! In just a few questions our Style Finder will manage to pinpoint your exact vibe, and whatever it is, it’ll definitely match your personality. So go ahead and see what you match with! It might be our edgy style with lots of leather and metals, or you might love fitted blazers and women’s suits and match with our classy style. Big fan of wearing skirts and flowy dresses? In that case, you’ll most likely match with our feminine style, while all you ladies who love a simple t-shirt and jeans combo will definitely vibe with our more basic style. And don’t worry, none of the questions are difficult, just look at the pictures and see what you resonate with most. The test will do the rest! You just sit back and wait for your results. And, as an added bonus, we’ll include a list of our favourite items that will form the base of your look, the perfect jewellery to match it with, and the ultimate accessories to finish your look with! That’s basically 50% of the work done for you!

"Don't be into trends. Don't make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live.

Secret # 2 : Know your body type

Step two to figuring out your signature style is to know what body type you have. In truth, this is one of the key foundations to looking and feeling good in general. The most stylish women know how to dress for what suits their body type. After all, we are meant to wear the clothes, the clothes don’t wear us. So, look at yourself in the mirror and pinpoint the features you want to highlight, and which you’d like to camouflage a little. Another great trick for figuring out your signature style and your body type, is to grab some of your favourite clothes, the ones that make you feel really good about yourself, and some of your less favourite outfits, and try to figure out which elements you love and which you hate. That way you’ll know when shopping for your signature look which styles/elements/cuts or other details to avoid and which ones to always reach for!

Secret # 3 : Get creative to find your signature

If you feel like you’re starting from scratch when determining a signature look, or you simply want to reinvent your existing look, go out and look for some fashion inspo! Check out the My Jewellery styling blogs, grab all of your favourite fashion mags, highlight your top looks from your favourite TV shows or movies, scour TikTok, Insta & Pinterest, look anywhere that you might feel inspired and, most importantly, look for women whose style you admire. Collect all your inspiration and if you’re feeling creative turn them into a mood board. A mood board is a great way to bring all of your ideas together and see what works and doesn’t. Try to pull together styles that really appeal to you and figure out what it is about them that you love so much, that way you’re that much closer to determining the elements you’d like to incorporate into your own signature style.

Secret # 4 : Define a colour palette

The easiest way to create a signature look? Stick to a signature colour palette. Whether you can’t live without black, are an all-over neutrals girl, or simply love all-pink everything (Hi, Elle Woods) determining the colour palette that you connect with most is a great step to defining your signature style. Start small by choosing a metal that you’ll never tire of: some women swear by gold jewellery whilst others only ever wear silver jewellery, or you might even decide to only wear pearl jewellery. The same can be said for pants colours (bleached, navy, black etc) or shoes. Don’t let yourself be limited by a colour palette either though. Just because you define your colour palette with black items doesn’t mean you can’t include a pop of neon every now and then. The point of a signature look is that it defines your personal brand and style after all.

Secret #5 : Choose your signature item

From a family heirloom piece of jewellery that you can’t live without, to the ultimate shade of ruby red lipstick that always gives you the confidence to tackle your day, or an array of hats that you can't leave the house without, it could be anything, but try to identify a signature item that will instantly make you feel like yourself when you put it on. The (fashion) world is slowly moving towards being stylish, rather than on-trend, and having a clear signature look with an individual touch is becoming more important as we navigate that path. So give these steps a go, and see what kind of signature style you’ll discover! Don’t forget to take the style finder test and tag us @myjewellery to show off your signature My Jewellery looks!
