Our Front Office, office maintenance and catering teams make up the My Jewellery Facilities team. These hardworking busy-bees always make sure that our employees and our offices are in great shape! Read the blog to find out more about this generous team.

Amber van Gogh - Front Office & Facilities

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

Almost 1.5 years

What are some of your daily tasks?

Our tasks differ every day! We’re around to receive clients and interviewees, make sure to arrange lunches for important meetings, stay on top of property management, organise internal and external deliveries for colleagues, and restock food & drink at the office. Any events/drinks held at the office have to be requested through us. In short, we’re around to help out & support with anything that happens within the four walls of the office.

Besides all of that, we also help out in various ways for new boutique openings. So, we’ll make sure that the handy-men have all the required tools to do their job, and that the Visual Merchandise girls have a place to stay while they’re arranging the styling and opening of the new boutique. Of course, our new boutique girls also need to be given proper training, so it’s up to us arrange an office meet-up.

Whenever a new colleague starts, we welcome them and make sure their workspace is ready for their start date.

What makes this job sparkle for you?

Our job is never boring! Every day is different, which makes it really challenging. I also love that my job allows me to interact with everyone within the company. You know everyone, and vice versa. I also enjoy meeting new clients and possible future colleagues who’re over for an interview. There’s a lot of juggling and organising involved with my job, but the recognition you get in return makes it completely worth it! 

What do you enjoy most about working for Team Facilities?

When you become part of our team, it’s like being enveloped in a warm bath. To me, it’s super important to work at a place where you’re surrounded by lovely people, and this is definitely the case within our team. We’re all very different, but that actually works so well! There’s a lot of genuine interest in each other's lives which makes for a great atmosphere. Finally, we all put in 100% and that really gives me a boost.

Kim Boeijen - Catering 

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

Since September 2021.

What are some of your daily tasks?

I’m in charge of preparing lunch for our colleagues & for meetings, and doing all the tasks that are included within that scope. Such as, cleaning, ordering, inventory & creating the menus. 

What makes this job sparkle for you?

I’m a real foodie! So, this job gives me a lot of energy. I love creating new dishes and making people happy with food. The atmosphere at My Jewellery is warm, open and powerful. It’s a lot of fun & really inspiring to see all of this sparkling creativity amongst your colleagues, that really empowers me to be even better. 

What do you enjoy most about working for Team Facilities?

The Facilities Team is a team full of real team-players! With Melissa at the helm, we’re always working together to make sure our colleagues can continue to do their jobs without any issues or disturbances. Within the team we really support and complement each other, and, not unimportant, we also have a lot of fun together! Some of my personal highlights were our team-outing last year and the celebratory breakfast last December. I hope to remain a part of the My Jewellery family for ages to come.

Lisa van Raaij - Catering 

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

I started in December 2021, so almost 3 months. 

What are some of your daily tasks?

My colleague, Kim, and I can always be found in the Bistro, preparing fresh rolls, salads, poke bowls and snacks. In other words, I can usually be found cooking. Other tasks include, cleaning, ordering groceries and coming up with new dishes for the menu and/or adjusting existing dishes. 

What makes this job sparkle for you?

I love making people happy with good food, and the positive feedback we receive makes the job completely worth it. Personally, I love food so being able to give input on new menus feels great, and adds a creativity to the job that I really enjoy. 

What do you enjoy most about working for Team Facilities?

It’s just really fun! The atmosphere within the team feels great, and I think we have a really pleasant group of colleagues, everyone is helpful and engaged.

Melissa Ramakers van Praag - Facility Coordinator

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

4 months. 

What are some of your daily tasks?

No day is the same. One day I’ll be running around after the handy-men to help them out, and then next day it’ll be me doing all the heavy lifting. Besides that, I also have a team to manage. So, in short, no two days are the same and that’s what makes this job so enjoyable. I sometimes feel like I’ve been working here for years. 

What makes this job sparkle for you?

The company philosophy and the people who work here, nothing is too much for anyone. I also really enjoy what I do, and it really fulfills me, so that also contributes to a sparkling job. Finally, my team! It’s such a diverse group of people, but that’s what makes it so fun! 

What do you enjoy most about working for Team Facilities?

I love the diversity, and I love how close the team is. Whenever a colleague calls in sick, we come together to come up with a solution. Our team’s motto is: “One team, one job”

Albana Krasniqi - Front Office 

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

1 month

What are some of your daily tasks?

First and foremost, welcoming visitors and colleagues with my best smile!

Besides that, we get to make a lot of orders, which just so happens to be one of my biggest hobbies outside of the job too! We deal with post and deliveries, make sure everything is sorted out for our new colleagues to start, and basically help out wherever we’re needed!  

What makes this job sparkle for you?

My wonderful colleagues have made this a really great first month at the job! They’ve welcomed me so warmly and that really helped to make me feel at home. I love sitting at the Front Office desk as it means you get to see everyone’s faces at some point during the day. That makes me so happy! I also love seeing all the changes and developments at the company, seeing the ambition within My Jewellery is really inspiring. 

What do you enjoy most about working for Team Facilities?

I’m surrounded by lovely ladies who all look after each other and love coming into work, both of which makes for a great work atmosphere!

Jolanda Havinga - Office maintenance

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

3 months.

What are some of your daily tasks?

Cleaning the offices, and replenishing things like soap, coffee & milk. In general, I make sure everything is clean and looks nice & tidy. 

What makes this job sparkle for you?

Cleaning the office at My Jewellery is a joy and seeing a neat & tidy office at the end of all my hard work is very rewarding.

What do you enjoy most about working for Team Facilities?

Working within team Facilities is really fun, we have a great team with friendly colleagues who are always there for each other and ready to help out.
