Colleague Manja Elie
Position: Supervisor warehouse
How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
Since July 2020, so more than a year.
What are some of your daily tasks?
I’m responsible for the entire warehouse. Think: scheduling, stocks, improving processes, managing team leads etc. Besides that I also make sure all of the orders are sent off on time to our customers & boutiques.
What does an average day look like for you?
In the mornings I start by checking my emails. During the day I meet with team leads to discuss how the processes are going, meetings with keyholders at My Jewellery, coordinate processes, check our hours registration and chat with team members. I also check throughout the day whether we’re meeting the cut-off criteria (ordered before 20.00, same day postage).
What do you enjoy about your job?
Every day is different at the warehouse. I love producing great results with the whole team. I’m super proud when we’re completely on top of all our orders and the warehouse looks neat and orderly, and our stocks have all been maintained properly.
What’s been your most fun moment at the warehouse?
Black Friday! We proved with teamwork and good preparations we could achieve really great things.
Colleague Joris Kroese
Position: Logistics member
How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
I’ve been at My Jewellery for a year.
What are some of your daily tasks?
As a member of the logistics team you perform lots of different tasks in the My Jewellery warehouse. From order picking, wrapping, restocking POS and our boutiques, to processing returns. Personally, I’m usually found operating the Reach truck and replenishing the pick zone.
What does an average day look like for you?
During early shifts we start by stock taking. After that the team leads hand out the tasks, I usually get a list of products that need to be replenished. I take the reach truck from it’s charging station and start by getting all of the pallets out of the bulk so I can grab all the products that need to be replenished. It often happens that order pickers need products from the bulk, in which case I drive along with them and help where needed. I also help anyone else who needs anything that requires the reach truck.
What do you enjoy about your job?
The most fun part about working at the warehouse are obviously the colleagues. We have a great time together which makes work really enjoyable! Personally, I love do replenishment the most. My Jewellery is a really fast growing company and I’m really proud to be a part of that, by working at the warehouse and making sure our customers get their orders as quickly as possible.I also been really cool see how quickly everything’s changed in the warehouse.
What’s been your most fun moment at the warehouse?
The Friday evening post-work drinks. It’s always fun to round off a week together and it’s a great start to the weekend.

It’s been 2.5 years now.
What are some of your daily tasks?
I schedule our teams for the warehouse and liaise with the supervisor, team leads, recruiters and job agencies.
What does an average day look like for you?
I start my day at 9.00am. After a cup of tea, I start by getting an overview of team members that are off sick or absent. After that I liaise with employment agencies by email or phone and make sure the scheduling goes smoothly. This is an especially big challenge during busy and hectic periods like the holiday season.
What do you enjoy about your job?
My Jewellery is one big family, and being a part of that feels amazing! No one day is the same, so I really love the diversity of our tasks. For me personally, I enjoy figuring out where we can improve in terms of planning and how we can implement this to bring together a really great and hard-working team! But I most appreciate the close bond with have with our team, and I think we all really value that.
