Meet the team | Sales


At My Jewellery we’re constantly looking for unique collaborations and partnerships through which we can offer My Jewellery products! Which is why we’d like to introduce you to our Sales Team, who are responsible for My Jewellery’s offline visibility. Besides online sales through our webshop and offline boutique sales, we also sell our beautiful collections through various domestic and international points of sale. Our sales team is responsible for maintaining lasting relationships with our customers and making sure My Jewellery products are sold at the best stores.

Stephanie Gielen - Account manager Belgium


How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

5 years.

How would you describe a regular day at the office?

It’s difficult to describe a regular day because every day is so different, and that’s part of the fun! One day I’m on the road visiting customers, the next I’m doing the styling for new collections, or focusing on an administrative day, and so on. All in all it’s a super varied job! 

What makes this job so sparkling & powerful to you?

The variety in the job is what makes it so sparkling. Seeing how your work can impact the sales figures for your customers will always give me a thrill. Taking on long-term client relations, and seeing how you can both grow together. My Jewellery is really starting to grow in Belgium, so I get lots of fun reactions from friends and acquaintances whenever I tell them I work for My Jewellery as well. 

What do you enjoy most about working for the Sales team?

We’re a fun bunch who know how to communicate with each other well, and who are always ready to  celebrate each other’s successes. Lately, we’ve also added some really interesting and fun new members to the team, which has been great. All in all, a lot has changed in the 5 years that I’ve been here, but all of it has been positive. We’re just going to continue what we’re doing, and keep on growing!

Desi van Blijderveen - Key account & Project Manager


How long have you been working at My Jewellery? 

Almost 9 years! 

How would you describe a regular day at the office?

Together with the team I’m responsible for My Jewellery’s offline visibility, which includes shop-in-shops in The Netherlands and travel retail stores such as airports and train stations. 

What makes this job so sparkling & powerful to you?

Our wonderful (sales) team, a great work atmosphere, no nonsense attitude and lots of positive energy. There’s loads of space for everyone’s input and creativity and that makes My Jewellery a great place to work at. WORK HARD PLAY HARD!

What do you enjoy most about working for the Sales team?

I’m very excited to be a part of the Sales Team. Over the years we’ve really grown in all aspects, and you can tell how many new doors are opening up because of that. We’re working on some exciting projects and have lots of good energy within the team. We work hard, but we also celebrate our successes!



Eefje van Baarschot - Account manager


How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

2.5 years

How would you describe a regular day at the office?

My days involve amongst other things: sales, customer relations, styling at our points-of-sale, event planning, talent pool buying and buying B2B jewellery. 

What makes this job so sparkling & powerful to you?

The job really lets me express my creativity and gives me lots of freedom. I love to go really hard in my job! Alongside that, it allows me the chance to build valuable customer relations and work on building next-level partnerships. Plus, as an added bonus, I’m part of a great team! 

What do you enjoy most about working for the Sales team?

It’s a great team! We’re all really enterprising and independent, yet we still manage to work well as a close team and always do our absolute best!

 


Thom Timmer - Business Development Manager


How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

9 months

How would you describe a regular day at the office?

I manage the fast-growing Wholesale Team and together with the Sales Team I’m working at presenting My Jewellery through selective partnerships in the most beautiful places (inter)nationally. Think: on-trend fashion boutiques, gorgeous jewellery and concept stores, and even large department stores and airport shops. The next 5 years are all about international growth both online (marketplaces) and through traditional retail. We believe and invest heavily in the overall experience of the product and purchasing moment, which is why the sales department always stays in regular contact with our points-of-sale and we work closely with our VM team to make sure our brand is presented in the way we want to be presented. Besides being a social media company, I would say we’re also very much a tech company, which is why we’re becoming more involved with EDI and sales replenishment strategies. 

What makes this job so sparkling & powerful to you?

No mountain is too steep for My Jewellery, and yet we will only enter into partnerships in our own way. This means that our brand identity and how we present ourselves is always top priority. We’ve noticed that this seems to create a lot of positive energy for us as well as our partners, probably because in today’s retail landscape having such a strong identity is really important to the consumer. Attention for trends, affordable high-quality products and the right surroundings, creates a truly sparkling shopping experience. 

What do you enjoy most about working for the Sales team?

Every day is different, but that’s what makes it fun and challenging. We have great ambitions so we work very hard, but we also laugh a lot. You can really tell that everyone’s working towards the same goals and it feels very special to be a part of.



Evie Timmers - Junior Marketplace Specialist


How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

Only 7 weeks, but it feels so much longer!

How would you describe a regular day at the office?

Most days I monitor our various marketplaces (such as Zalando and Otrium). This involves checking the sales figures and determining if we can add any new products/collections or need to remove some. Besides that, I also make sure all the data & content is up-to-date and work on onboarding new marketplaces. 

What makes this job so sparkling & powerful to you?

Getting positive results makes me feel energised, so whenever I find out that the items i’ve posted online sell well this gives me so much extra power! 

What do you enjoy most about working for the Sales team?

It’s all really fun! The team is great and welcomes you with open arms, they’re all super helpful and there’s a great atmosphere among the group.

Julia Skiebe - Key Account Manager DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

I’ve been at My Jewellery for 18 months. 

How would you describe a regular day at the office?

I’m always reaching out to potential B2B partners, and keep in daily contact with our partner agents in the DACH-region and B2B clients, and our key accounts. 

What makes this job so sparkling & powerful to you?
I feel like I connect with our products, which makes the job really special. Plus, working with such ambitious people, many of them women, makes the job feel really powerful! 

What do you enjoy most about working for the Sales team?

I enjoy it because we’re such a motivated and helpful group of people. Personally, I also really enjoy being able to see all your hard work pay off when you see the Sales results.

 

Elise Rombouts - Visual Merchandiser


How long have you been working at My Jewellery?

I started as assistant store manager in Haarlem in August 2018, since then I’ve been promoted to store manager and now visual merchandiser for all the B2Bs.

How would you describe a regular day at the office?

Most of the time I’ll be driving from boutique to boutique to do the styling in store. I also help out with the VM interns and assist in the scheduling for our shop-in-shops at the Bijenkorf. 

What makes this job so sparkling & powerful to you?
Every day is different, so things never get boring! 

What do you enjoy most about working for the Sales team?

It’s really fun, it’s challenging and everyone is super motivated to achieve the best results!
